REALMS OF ENDLESS DAY

So, I'll never use AI imagery or other content for anything actually released or public-facing, as it just feels dishonest and kinda sad honestly. But, I do think it's a cool technology to personally mess around with, just from a " what can this thing do " angle... And so I prompted " medieval tapestry pattern, simplified, eldritch story, painting, flat, illuminated manuscript, detailed dark desktop wallpaper, hd archive, hidden fantastical and arcane details, ancient  aliens " to see what awful mysteries lay within the inscrutable mind of the algorithmic entities: Highlights include: large sky circles repeated use of red-robed cultists or something and Boschian nightmare goblins A sampler of these bizarre AI-fabricated accidents of creation: The cryptids of this generation dwell in forests of silicon and electricity.

Below is what I wrote as the intro to the setting of my upcoming Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Before you crucify me for running 5e, it's my second campaign ever as DM, this system is what I learned on, and yes, I did buy the books for The Epic of Dreams ,  Whitehack , Bastards ., Rogueland , and such - and I'll stop making excuses as well. For all its issues, I like 5e pretty well, and it's what my players like playing too. I assure myself by making sure I do a lot to make it more than just another D&D game, and have pulled a lot to make it more rules-lite and evocative (thanks in no small part to learning from The Epic of Dreams' character imagination and Saga mentality). I believe it was Strider who said "A day may come when I get my friends into the OSR, but it is not this day." Who is this guy?        As this is my first post, I suppose I should start by way of introduction. Realms of Endless Day is run by Ian Laird (that's me). As my social media bios say, I'm a graphic designer, music producer, artist, musician, dungeon master, recruiter, and as of last week, a college graduate (in case you're wondering, I have a Bachelor of Science in Theology - wild, I know).     Realms of Endless Day, a name I ripped from an old hymn because it sounded awesome, is my place to post and share content I create and support related to Dungeons and Dragons and numerous other nerdy tabletop roleplaying games. I've been in the hobby for three years now, but growing up I was exploring and creating fantasy maps, characters, countries, and tales for years before I ever heard of playing in them as a game.
